Job Overview
We are seeking a Industrial Electrical Superintendent in Greenville, South Carolina with a strong background in industrial electrical construction to oversee field operations, manage crews, and ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of high-voltage and industrial electrical systems, and a track record of successfully managing complex construction schedules in heavy industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews and subcontractors on industrial projects.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Oversee installation of high-voltage systems, switchgear, power distribution, controls, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needs to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Safety teams to ensure project execution aligns with company standards.
- Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, schedules, change orders, and progress updates.
- Train, mentor, and develop field staff to promote productivity, quality, and safety.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Strong background in industrial electrical systems, including substations, motor controls, process automation, and heavy power distribution.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as project needs require.
