Fire Alarm Project Manager – Data Centers (Atlanta, Georgia) Position Overview:
The Fire Alarm Project Manager – Data Centers (Atlanta, Georgia) will oversee all aspects of fire alarm scopes on multiple mission-critical projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for planning, submittals, procurement, installation oversight, testing, and turnover, ensuring all work meets applicable codes, schedules, and safety standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all fire alarm–related activities.
Fire Alarm Project Manager Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage fire alarm system installations for mission-critical projects nationwide.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and schedule expectations.
- Manage the fire alarm scope from preconstruction through final commissioning.
- Collaborate regularly with the Project Management Team to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
- Ensure all work meets NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and safety policies.
- Travel to project sites and work extended periods in the field as required.
Fire Alarm Project Manager Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Project Manager on mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including Fire Alarm, DAS, Access Control, and Building Management Systems.
- Proven ability to manage all phases of fire alarm installation, including submittals, procurement, installation oversight, coordination with testing agencies, and final turnover.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and NFPA code references (NFPA 70, NFPA 73, NFPA 101).
- Experience working with local inspectors and AHJs.
- Proficient with construction documentation and scheduling tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or equivalent.
- NICET Level II certification or higher preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
