Traveling Electrical Superintendent Responsibilities Include

  • Lead and supervise electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and institutional standards.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure efficient execution of electrical work.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for reviewing plans, conducting takeoffs, and collaborating with the team.
  • Ensure adherence to NEC codes, OSHA safety regulations, and institutional construction standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Conduct job site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control checks.
  • Manage procurement of electrical materials, tools, and equipment to meet project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, RFIs, change orders, and inspections.
  • Train and mentor field staff while enforcing safety protocols and company policies.

Traveling Electrical Superintendent Requirements

  • Skilled field supervisor with at least 5 years of experience managing crews and running large electrical construction projects.
  • Must have an active journeyman or master electrician license.
  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Ability to travel to job site located in Western Texas.
