Traveling Electrical Project Manager (Texas) Position Overview:

Goliath Construction Consulting is recruiting on behalf of an electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the construction of temporary workforce housing and supporting infrastructure for large-scale data center projects throughout Texas.

This is a unique opportunity to manage projects that help power the rapid growth of the mission-critical industry. You’ll lead the planning, execution, and delivery of temporary workforce accommodations, utility infrastructure, and site support facilities that enable construction teams to complete some of Texas’ largest data center projects.

This position offers exceptional flexibility and can be based from a project site, a company office, or a home office, with travel to active projects throughout Texas.

Traveling Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and overall project execution
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal construction teams
  • Manage project costs, forecasting, change orders, and financial performance
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Partner with field leadership, operations teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate site utilities, temporary power, civil infrastructure, modular facilities, and overall project logistics
  • Identify and resolve project risks while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders
  • Travel to project sites throughout Texas to support ongoing construction activities

Traveling Electrical Project Manager Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience with an electrical contractor
  • Experience managing commercial and modular construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost control
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and field operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout Texas as projects’ needs require
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
