Traveling Electrical Project Manager (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) Position Overview:
Goliath Construction Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a leading electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support large-scale data center and mission-critical projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical construction professional who enjoys travel and wants to work on some of the nation’s most complex and high-profile projects.
This position follows a structured travel rotation, allowing team members to spend extended weekends at home while remaining fully engaged on critical projects.
Traveling Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, quality, and client communication.
- Coordinate field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead project teams while maintaining strong relationships with owners, engineers, vendors, and trade partners.
- Manage project documentation, change orders, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project quality requirements.
Traveling Electrical Project Manager Qualifications
- Electrical contracting experience is required.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial or industrial electrical construction projects.
- Data center, mission-critical, hospital, or airport project experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel nationally on a rotating schedule.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
