Senior Electrical Estimator (United States) Overview:
The Senior Electrical Estimator (United States) will develop detailed and competitive bids on electrical construction work. Requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
This is a remote position that will require occasional travel throughout the Eastern United States.
Senior Electrical Estimator Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare detailed electrical estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings and analyze project risks, labor costs, material take-offs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Perform quantity take-offs using Accubid and develop labor and material cost projections.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes and ensure coverage for all scope items.
- Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options during preconstruction.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure completeness and alignment with the client’s expectations.
- Work closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, engineers, and clients to comprehensively understand project scope and budget.
- Maintain and update historical data for benchmarking and future estimating reference.
Senior Electrical Estimator Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience in construction
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Accubid Classic, Live Count, Trimble), and MS Office
- Excellent multi-tasking, analytical, organizational, negotiation & communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
