Electrical QA/QC Technician (Atlanta, Georgia) Position Overview:

The Electrical QA/QC Technician (Atlanta, Georgia) is responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards through inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams.

Electrical QA/QC Director Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical installations (power distribution, lighting, grounding, low-voltage, fire alarm, and controls) to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, NEC, and local codes
  • Perform quality control inspections at various stages of construction and document findings
  • Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet contract requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and installation methods for quality compliance
  • Witness and document electrical testing, commissioning, and energization activities
  • Maintain QA/QC logs, inspection reports, punch lists, and closeout documentation
  • Support owner, engineer, and AHJ inspections as needed
  • Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the jobsite

Electrical QA/QC Director Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical construction or electrical quality control
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC, electrical standards, and construction best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Experience with testing procedures (megger, continuity, grounding, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Proficient with tablets, inspection software, and Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
