The Electrical Operations Manager (Colorado Springs, Colorado) will lead and grow a key division within the electrical contracting business. This role oversees all aspects of project delivery, client relations, team leadership, and financial performance across commercial, industrial, multifamily residential, and mixed-use construction projects. The ideal candidate balances strategic leadership and hands-on project knowledge, with the ability to drive operational excellence and support scalable growth.
Electrical Operations Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project management team within the division.
- Responsible for work assignments, hiring, promotions, and performance appraisal.
- Develop and execute divisional goals and strategic plans aligned with overall company objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure the successful execution of all projects within the division from preconstruction through closeout.
- Monitor job progress, budgets, manpower, and risk across multiple projects.
- Support project teams with technical expertise, schedule management, and problem resolution.
- Monitor project financials, change orders, billing, and cash flow to ensure healthy margins.
- Report divisional performance and KPIs to executive leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, and design teams.
- Optimize internal processes to improve efficiency, safety, and project delivery timelines.
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, and training needs within the division.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all regulatory requirements.
Electrical Operations Manager Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction, including 5+ years in a senior project management or operations leadership role.
- Proven success managing large-scale commercial, industrial, multifamily residential, and/or mixed-use projects.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial drivers in construction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple teams and complex schedules across concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Viewpoint, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent field experience accepted.
- Master Electrician License or equivalent technical certifications are a plus.
