Electrical Estimator (Kansas City, Missouri) Position Overview:
Goliath Construction Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator who can turn blueprints and specifications into accurate, competitive numbers that help win projects and deliver outstanding results. With a strong balance of technical skill and strategic thinking, you’ll play a key role in ensuring each project is both high-quality and cost-effective.
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed budgets and labor estimates for commercial electrical projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to develop complete bid packages.
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams for accurate pricing.
- Utilize estimating software to forecast costs, assess risks, and improve accuracy.
- Advise project teams on manpower, scheduling, and materials.
- Support handoff to project management with clear documentation and cost breakdowns.
Electrical Estimator Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction estimating.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and software skills (Excel and estimating tools).
- Proven experience in labor/material cost analysis and financial planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) credential preferred but not required.
