Electrical Assistant Project Manager (Iowa + Nationwide) Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects throughout Iowa and across the U.S. In this traveling role, you’ll partner with project teams on scheduling, purchasing, project reporting, estimating, submittals, and O&M documentation while ensuring successful project execution. This role includes a generous travel allowance or the option for relocation assistance for candidates moving to Iowa.

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assist in writing quotations and project proposals, estimating projects when necessary, review of contracts, setting up projects in relevant software applications, working with project managers, on-site foreman, and general contractors on assigned work.
  • Work with the Production and Field teams; Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Field Staff
  • Design participation, preconstruction, construction, and testing coordination
  • Assist Project Managers in managing projects, subcontracts, suppliers, and inspectors to meet construction deadlines and client expectations
  • Assist Project Manager in reviewing design documents, plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and reports
  • Coordinate with change order cost estimates, preparing related reports, budgeting, and accounting practices
  • Develop professional documents; edit and proof written materials; prepare and maintain complete reports and records

Electrical Assistant Project Manager Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related electrical construction or project coordination experience — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and project management basics preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers and software including Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and project tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work at various jobsite locations across the Midwest and nationwide.
