Senior Electrical Project Manager – Healthcare (Phoenix, Arizona) Position Overview:
The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and financial performance of large-scale commercial and healthcare electrical construction projects. This role leads projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and teams while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and healthcare construction requirements. The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering complex projects valued at $10M+ and excels in coordinating with owners, general contractors, and field leadership to drive predictable outcomes.
Senior Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting activities to ensure projects meet financial and schedule targets.
- Oversee project cost control, labor productivity, change management, and contract administration.
- Coordinate closely with owners, GCs, designers, inspectors, and field leadership, particularly on hospital and healthcare projects.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, healthcare codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Support preconstruction and estimating efforts, including takeoffs, pricing, value engineering, and buyout.
Senior Electrical Project Manager Qualifications
- 7+ years of electrical construction experience with an electrical contractor, including managing large-scale projects valued at $10M+.
- Proven experience delivering hospital and healthcare construction projects, including compliance with healthcare codes and coordination in active environments.
- Strong budget control, labor tracking, and schedule management skills on complex, multi-phase projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Accubid preferred.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of estimating principles and be fluent in cost forecasting and job cost control.
