Electrical Purchasing Manager (Liberty, North Carolina) Overview:
Our client is seeking an Electrical Purchasing Manager (Liberty, North Carolina) responsible for managing the day-to-day purchasing of electrical commodities in support of field operations and Project Management.
Electrical Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:
- Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services for approved projects, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Maintaining daily contact with vendors and suppliers – obtain quotes, review pricing, negotiate agreements, issue purchase orders, resolve pricing discrepancies, manage material returns
- Participate in project kick-off meetings to exert a shaping influence at an early stage and to optimize internal workflows and processes
- Implements cost-saving ideas
- Issue and manage purchase orders for approved requisitions and contracts, supporting a variety of departments
- Communicating with Foremen and Project Managers to stay current and ahead of project needs
Electrical Purchasing Manager Qualifications
- 3+ years purchasing experience with an electrical contractor or electrical distributor
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment
- Superior organizational skills
