Commercial Electrician (Fort Myers, Florida) Position Overview:
The Commercial Electrician (Fort Myers, Florida) is responsible for performing electrical wiring duties in a commercial setting with relatively little supervision. The Commercial Electrician required to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures; as well as to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Commercial Electrician Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
- Inspect & test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
- Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
- Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation
- Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans
- Read blueprints; bend pipe; conduit installation; understanding of basic electrical wiring
Commercial Electrician Qualifications:
- Solid electrical skills and knowledge
- Experience with commercial electrical construction
- Customer orientated, good with people
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Able to work alone and work well with others
- Good driver with a clean driving record
