Happening Right Now
Here at Goliath, we get exposed to the business practices of countless companies. We also know first hand that corporate culture can play a big part in the decision making process for candidates so we want to do our part to advance the discussion. Over the week I will be reaching out through this blog as well as my social accounts to get some important questions answered.
Your Opinions Drive This!
I want to know how you define corporate culture. Share your best and worst boss examples, some funny stories, and the most creative fringe benefits you’ve seen.
For the hiring and HR managers out there, let me know how culture ranks in importance at your company. What are some of the programs that have gone over well for you? Where do you find inspiration? How do you incorporate employee feedback into the mix? Tell us about your CEO/Founder – do they drive the personality of your company?
Here are some other questions I’ll be posing to the Twitterverse over the next several days:
Q1 – When you leave a job, how does culture factor into the search for your next job?
Q2 – Hiring managers, what types of questions do candidates ask to gauge your corporate culture? (ask candidates to see if they fit your corporate culture)
Q3 – How does your company’s corporate culture affect your willingness to put in extra hours?
Q4 – Does your company allow family (encourage family interaction in the office and at corporate events?) at corporate events? What’s the reasoning behind your decision, either way?
Q5 – What is your absolute favorite thing about your boss? What’s your least favorite thing?
We will collect our favorite responses and insights so that we can share them in a follow up post! Reach out and @ us on Twitter with your own stories and make sure to include #TheWar4Talent in your tweets!

Summer is Almost Over!
As we come out of the long Labor Day weekend, we want to leave you with this thought:
“Labor Day is a glorious holiday because your child will be going back to school the next day. It would have been called Independence Day, but that name was already taken.”
